SEO Service Page Content Checklist: Write for Real Customers

An effective SEO service page must do more than repeat a service name. It should reduce uncertainty for somebody who may be ready to book, buy or contact the company. A premium layout helps people read, but the content still needs depth, accuracy and specific business information.

Answer the Essential Questions

State exactly which work you perform, the types of problems you solve, who benefits, the relevant service area and what happens when a prospect contacts you. Include real inclusions and limitations. Replace vague marketing language with details that can be verified.

Use Evidence Without Inventing It

Where allowed, show authentic project photos, qualifications, relevant experience, process explanations or client-approved case studies. Never publish invented performance screenshots, review counts or impossible guarantees. If an example is hypothetical, label it as such.

Make the Page Easy to Scan

Start with one clear H1, use H2 headings for meaningful sections, and add short readable paragraphs. Descriptive links should connect related services and practical guides. Include helpful FAQs only where you have reliable answers, and add alt text for images that convey meaning.

Measure and Improve After Publishing

Check mobile readability, tap targets, form delivery and page speed. Look at Search Console query impressions and which enquiries came from the service page when attribution is available. Refresh weak sections with actual customer feedback instead of producing duplicate pages for every keyword variant.
